Beta features for all users

This Monday, all users will get exclusive access to our brand-new beta features!

We've given the asset preview page a sleek redesign and enhanced the gallery view for a smoother, more intuitive browsing and asset management experience.

Users can unlock these exciting updates directly from their User Settings page.

We’ve completely revamped the asset preview page, and upgraded the gallery view to make browsing and managing your assets smoother and more intuitive.

💻 What’s new in Mediebank?

These new features have been added to Mediebank, and are ready for you to explore. They will be available once you enable beta features.

• Versions
  Our versioning feature lets you manage multiple versions of the same asset. 
• Quick actions from thumbnails
  Easily download or set asset placement directly from the gallery thumbnails.
• Minimap
  Visualize your assets like never before! With camera data now displayed on a mini-map in the asset preview, you can easily see exactly where your content was created.
• Summary card
  Key insights at your fingertips! We’ve added a summary card that delivers essential metadata without having to open the full preview. Enjoy a dynamic view with all the important details in one glance.
• Guest info preview
  Get instant context! We’re introducing guest uploader info right on the asset preview page, so you’ll always know who contributed what, with just a glance.

And that’s not all—here’s what else we’ve added:

• Higher thumbnail resolution
  We’ve boosted thumbnail resolution, so your images are displayed with greater clarity and detail.
• More API clients
  We’ve just doubled the number of possible API clients, giving you even more flexibility and scalability to supercharge your integrations.

📰 News from the News Archive

• Searchable PDFs
  Now you can search PDF files, even if they don’t have accompanying text files. This makes finding exactly what you need in the News Archive easier than ever. We extract all text from the PDFs, and your search hits will be highlighted directly in the documents for quick, precise results.

📱 Smartphone app upgrades

• Verifications
  We’ve made the process more intuitive, so keeping track of your sent files is easier than ever. Plus, we’ve fixed some scrolling issues, ensuring a smoother, more seamless experience.

Over the next few weeks, we're rolling out some new features in Mediebank that will elevate your experience:

• Quick filters
  Pin your favorite filters directly to your navigation bar for instant access to your most-used filters.
• Predefined download scales
  Need differently sized photos? We are enabling download scales, helping you to easier get the size you need.
• Quick action for downloads
  We’re introducing quick-actions for downloads, so you can instantly grab the version or predefined scale you need—no fuss, just one quick click and you're set! Quick actions will be available for mediebank users and in the public gallery.
